CV & Resume Review

A CV, or resume, built the way admissions committees actually read.

Academic admissions committees read a CV, or resume, differently than a recruiter does. I help you rework yours, whichever term your target programme uses, to speak directly to the institution, and guide who you approach for references and how.

CV & Resume Review FAQ

A few common questions.

Will you write my CV or resume for me?

No. I provide an entirely ethical service. I comment on and discuss how to improve your CV or resume, point out what's working and what isn't, but the content and final writing are always your own record.

What's the difference between a CV and a resume for my application?

Not much in practice, they're often used interchangeably for academic and postgraduate applications. Whichever term your target programme uses, I'll help you build the right one: a document that leads with your academic and research record rather than a generic job-application format.

Do you offer CV or resume reviews?

Yes, as part of my overall support package, alongside personal statement coaching and interview preparation.

Do you support with job applications too?

Yes. Many of my students apply to master's programmes and jobs at the same time, and I support both. There's a lot of overlap with CV and resume writing, test prep, interviewing and cover letter writing.

Can you help me choose who to ask for references?

Yes, this is part of the CV and reference support. I’ll help you identify the strongest academic and professional references for your target course. If it helps, I also have a detailed guide for referees themselves on writing a strong recommendation letter.

Do you guarantee I'll get an offer?

No consultant can guarantee an offer, and I'd be wary of anyone who says otherwise. I can't make a guarantee on any individual course, but my success rates speak for themselves: a 98% first- or second-choice offer rate, eight years running.

How does pricing work?

Pricing isn't listed here because every engagement is different. Get in touch and I'll give you a clear picture of cost and scope in our first conversation. No pressure, no obligation.
